BOLNEY YOUTH CLUB - VOLUNTEERS AND PAID YOUTH WORKER WANTED

A small committee of  parents currently run  Bolney Youth Club in conjunction with an employed youth worker whom we currently have a vacancy for. Sessions run in term time only on Thursday evenings  between  7.30  - 9.30  at the Rawson Hall ,and outings to events such as ice skating, ten pin bowling, Tulleys Farm, and donutting also take place through out the year. The youth club provides very valuable leisure space and time for secondary school age children who otherwise have extremely limited facilities within our village. We would love members of our wider community to join  our committee to help run the club, come up with ideas for the children, draw up and implement policies and assist with fundraising.
Duties would include- Assisting with the planning of, and  helping fundraise at events such as Village day ( normally a Barbecue) the annual Bolney Firework night- our main fundraiser-  and normally one other event in the spring, such as a dog show or the Bolney's got Talent Night. Attending committee meeting approximately once  every 6 -8 weeks on a midweek night and attending the AGM normally in October. Helping run a Thursday session on a rota basis with the youth worker, normally once every 8-10 weeks
In addition, our long standing  treasurer and secretary  both wish to step down later in the year  due to other commitments, so if you think you could help with either of these roles  we would be delighted to hear from you . All committee members are subject to a CRB check . If you have teenage children yourself, are just generally interested in children or have children at primary school who will soon wish to become members pleased do get in touch, it can be very rewarding and a lot of fun.
